Testimonials

Comments from ClickScience users:

"I don't think it's any coincidence that since the introduction of ClickScience, our results have risen from 42% to 60% A*-C which takes us 10% above the national average."
Peter Buckley, Wodensborough Community Technology College, Wednesbury

"I have dipped into ClickScience on many occasions to complement the course I teach. It is easy for both myself and the students to navigate around and the resources cater for all sorts of activities. It is one of the sites I go to first for ideas to enrich and support my lessons."
Neil Glasspool, Holyhead School, Handsworth

"It became clear very quickly that ClickScience was an extremely flexible teaching and learning tool, with an enormous amount of interactive content which appeals to pupils, and enables a high degree of personalisation within each lesson.

ClickScience is amenable to both independent work and teacher lead class work; at every level there is scaffolding which can be used to support learning. It is a tool which can be used to give access to the course for the whole spread of abilities.

Whilst we bought into ClickScience primarily to support the teaching of OCR Nationals (level 2) in Science, the site makes links between the common Key Stage 4 Programme of Studies focussed on GCSE Science and GCSE Additional Science courses. Increasingly we are finding that these links support our GCSE teaching, as well as helping us appreciate that OCR Nationals (level 2) in Science and GCSE Science are vehicles designed to deliver a common curriculum model.

Whilst ClickScience is a flexible teaching tool, administration of the website it also provides a good mixture of independence and support; we are able to administer access for staff and pupils alike, but support from Kingshurst Multimedia is always available on the odd occasion we get into difficulties.

A superb product which truly supports teaching and learning."

OCR NATIONALS IN SCIENCE (LEVEL 2)

ClickScience provides a full teaching and learning solution for KS4 Science but has a special relationship with the OCR National course. These are testimonials from some schools who teach this course:

"We have found the activities on ClickScience to be extremely useful. The animations are of a high quality and have enhanced some of the ways that we can teach certain subjects. We use the activities for a variety of different courses, both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

It has been particularly useful for teaching the OCR Nationals courses as there are a lot of suggested activities that are specific to that course. All of the teachers In the Science department here have found ClickScience to be a very good resource when planning and delivering lessons.

The students have found that having their own accounts is a great learning tool. They can access any of the animations and different activities at home which encourages independent learning. Students have also sent messages through ClickScience to their teachers to highlight any activities that they have found difficult and completed any homework that has been set."

Diane Nuttall, Rosebridge School, Wigan

"I have been using ClickScience for many years now and have found it to be the most valuable of resources.

It caters for all science courses being taught, especially for the OCR National Level 2 in Science where there appears to be no set resources to accompany the course.

ClickScience is user friendly both for staff and students and encourages independent learning. Support network for queries and advice is second to none with prompt replies and help at hand.

All our pupils now use ClickScience as an online resource and rate it highly as they can also access this from home. A big thank you from us at St Luke's Portsmouth for a very welcome resource which is regularly updated as the courses evolve, it makes our life in the Science Department much easier as we know where to look for material to enhance the courses we teach."
